Tuition, scholarships,
and Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees: 2017-18*

Grades 9-12 . . . . . . . . . . .$18,500 per year (includes activity fee)

A school uniform is required (approximately $400).

Other fees may apply, such as sports and graduation fees.

*Tuition for 2018-19 will be set by the Board of Trustees in late winter, 2018.

Scholarships

Academic Scholarships - scholarships awarded on the basis of performance on the Scholarship and Entrance Exam, a personal interview and past academic achievement.

Alumnae Scholarship - a scholarship provided by the Alumnae Association to the daughter of an MMA graduate - criteria and application will be made available to eligible students.

Fine Arts Scholarship - a fine arts scholarship in the amount of $3,000 for each year student attends Merion Mercy Academy. Click here for application form and criteria.

Music Scholarships - two scholarships awarded on the basis of a personal audition and performance on the Scholarship and Entrance Exam. Click here for a link to the MMA music scholarship audition requirements and click here for music scholarship policies.

Mercy Scholarship - scholarships awarded to students, nominated by their school principal, who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in the area of service to others - academics, scholarship and character will also be considered. Applications will be provided by school principal.

Financial Aid

All families applying for financial assistance must follow a specific procedure. Click here for the Financial Aid Student Tuition (FAST) form.  The cost to submit this form is a non-refundable fee of $43. Please do not apply before September 1, 2017.  After filling out the application, it is submitted to Independent School Management (ISM). At that time, the admissions office will be alerted to send you a checklist and special envelope addressed to FAST for your supporting documents. Tax documents to be included are both federal and state tax returns and all W2 and 1099 statements.

Incoming freshmen - The deadline to complete the application is January 5, 2018.  All tax documentation must be sent directly to FAST by February 20, 2018.  The financial aid committee will meet in early January 2018; you will be notified of their decision mid-January.  Should we not be able meet your family's tuition needs your deposit will be refunded.

Current school families with new financial aid applications - The deadline to complete the application is January 31, 2018. All tax documentation must be sent directly to FAST by February 20, 2018.  The financial aid committee will meet in late February; you will be notified of their decision by mid-March. 

Current school families with renewing financial aid applications - The financial aid renewal will only be extended when the FAST application has been completed on a timely basis and all tax documentation has been received and verified by FAST. The deadline to complete the application is February 20, 2018.  All financial documents are due to FAST by March 15, 2018. Renewal letters will go out in April 2018.
